A beautiful girl with a broken smile
A beautiful smile she hasn’t flashed in awhile
A strange little girl with her own personal issues
Unfortunate for me she’s been abused and misused
Mistrusting of most and leery of all
Her life in the balance a favorable stall
Direction she’s seeking with the companionship she needs
If only she knew how to ascertain these certain things
I feel for her journey from the past and beyond
But am lost on how to help this beautiful single mom
I offer my affection the only way that I know how
Bad communication between us sits a cloud
Of unknown intentions among the simplest of desires
Let us clear the canvas and begin in a new style
Paint a pretty picture of perfection seldom sought
I get lost in my own mind whenever this girl enters my thoughts
She makes me think things and makes wonder
And gives me food for thought to sit around and ponder
She says one thing and then reflects upon another
A single system with no siblings if only she had a brother
A role model a base, something I don’t know
But I see and adhere to a different type code
Of course I was raised in a middle class abode
A perfect family life the type of upbringing she doesn’t know
Whatever the future holds I always hope for her the best
Maybe in my arms is where one day she will rest
Broken smile on a beautiful girl
She’s new to my world If only her heart could uncurl
