I said I was going to write one and I have. To those of you who have been faithful to it in return . . . and to the young in heart . . . I dedicate this . . .

I'm done
How much must I go along with
Is it better to go along pretending it's the way it should be
Do we matter
Do you not like that I like you
You bring me comfort
you make me feel like I'm at home,
your home, my home, everyones home, our home
Do I love you because you have a safe home
or do you have a safe home because I love you
You're precious in every way
if not in almost every way
okay, maybe not in every way
but enough ways for me
I cry for your hurt
I feel what you feel
I go along with what you go along with
a fool I am maybe
and maybe I won't feel this way forever
but for now and for a while I have felt
I've felt for you and what you are
what you are I like and some of what you are is what I want to be
If I know you today I know you today
If I never know you again, I knew you for today and I loved you
I did, I really did and I loved that I loved you.
I loved you because you were me or the places in me I liked the best
To love you is to say goodbye to you, but I won't cry too much, okay, not that much
because for a while you made me feel like I was with you
and you and I were the same and that I liked the best
