One of the many shock scenes from the Super 8 film THE DEMONIC POSSESSION.  Made miraculously with NO parental supervision or censorship.

However, the filmmaking freedom I enjoyed was not without its consequences.   Serious ramifications would incur with a roller derby movie I made at 12 based on KANSAS CITY BOMBER and Roger Cormans UNHOLY ROLLERS.   It was called WILD WHEELS and it so incensed this one Mother that she blew it out of proportion and went on a neighborhood campaign against me.  She rampaged up and down the block and to the schools warning parents about my movies and advising them not to allow their children to play with me.  The paranoid woman even threatened to kill me??   The overweight bull like woman said to me "I'd like to kill you".   How would you like your friends mother to tell you that?  She  created such a furor among people that the authorities were called and I was ostracized by her and her family.   I was forced to cut the film and forfeit away certain outtakes. What a nightmare that was.  Being treated like a junior LARRY FLYNT at 12 going on 13.  I managed however to save one outtake, which I inserted back into the film years later.   I always thought the story would make a good script.

THE DEMONIC POSSESSION was my way of processing my feelings after that experience.  I said, "I'll show you, it you think the roller derby movie was "out there", WATCH THIS!  That's how angry I was.   In the film I play a low key calm almost shy school kid.  Once possessed my character turned into a screaming banshee and it was fun to play.
