Beautiful tribute to SHARON TATE

August 9th marks the 40th anniversary of the Tate/LaBianca killings here in Los Angeles.

Nobody can hold a candle to this girl in this way. Nobody represents that combination of beauty and tragedy like Sharon Tate. She's up there with people like (pardon me) Jesus Christ, as far as people who are known for the way they died. I know that will shock alot of people, but it's the truth. Sharon, like Jesus represents a total destruction of innocence.  Yet their deaths are what make both of them famous.

It's the video honoring the angelic sensitivity of Sharon Tate. Truly mesmerizing and beautiful. Perfect blend of image with the perfect music. I'll never again hear this song without thinking of this video or of Sharon Tate. Long may it run.

Does anyone under 30 even know who this woman is off the top off their head? You have written about her a couple of times and if I didn't read every article on this site I know I wouldn't.. Way to keep her memory alive. The ultimate honor to someone lost but not forgotten.

SHARON TATE

Unfortunately Sharon Tate is forever linked to Charles Manson. At the time of her murder she was an up and coming actress, 9 months pregnant and married to film director Roman Polanski . Her most famous movie is probably VALLEY OF THE DOLLS. She got her start donning a black wig and playing Jane Hathaway's secretary on THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES. Her name is legend now, due more to the infamous Manson murders than anything else. This marks the 40th anniversary of her death. CNN is doing a story about it tonight, as are alot of other newscasts. It is considered the crime that changed America and closed out the 1960's. It had an effect on alot of people and continues to this day. The killers original death sentence was changed to life with the possibility when California overturned the death penalty in the early 70's. It has since been reinstated. There have been numerous films and documentaries made on this subject. It's considered America's first "cult". At the heart of it is this beautiful innocent Sharon, (along with several others) who were all brutally butchered in their home by the meth induced followers of an ex con Charles Manson who himself was full of jealousy, rage and rejection.
