The FARRAH documentary

Farrah Fawcett caught my attention as the innocent blonde potential bisexual conquest of Raquel Welch in the 1970 cult classic MYRA BRECKINRIDGE. It was this performance that has always kept me liking her. After watching the heartfelt documentary on her cancer fight aired tonight on NBC, I have a couple of questions. Most importantly is why did she keep going back to Germany, other than for the therapeutic serenity of the scenery? After the second trip it didn't seem to be going so good. I think I would have given up on that treatment. It put a strain on her physically. How could that have helped when being that sick? It seems she was doing everything she could to keep her hair and postpone Chemotherapy. Not that I'm a fan of chemo. It seems to kill alot of good stuff in it's struggle to kill the bad stuff. It's definitely an individual choice.

Some would say that a person will try anything when they know that if they don't, it will mean the end and I say, "really?"

After the second or third treatment, if I'm not feeling better, there's not going to be a fourth, believe me, much less a third. The body at some point should feel better and it shouldn't take so long either.

More than anything the German doctor kept giving her hope, but after all those treatments, poor Farrah became more like a guinea pig for progressive forms of experimentation. Would things have been different if she had accepted the chemotherapy in the beginning? It's all so sad. I wish her well. She'll always be that insensitive beautiful Mary Ann Pringle to me.
