Partisan Politics.. I'm so over it...

I’m so over partisan politics. Especially when I’ve been drinking and I’m just trying to have a good time!!

Ok, so this is how it went. A friend of mine took me to a concert tonight that a buddy of his was playing at. When I heard the words free concert I was all about getting out. Why not right? Well, we get there and it’s goth. That’s not rock or heavy metal but goth... goth is beyond heavy metal.

When we get there we meet up his other friends that appear more normal than most and this is a good thing. The group consists of a married couple, the wife’s hot friend, my friend and I, then another guy. (Did you follow that) So this stunningly beautiful girl is a part of our group and at first she blows me off with hurricane force winds. Then I find out she’s married, so now I understand.. I’m like ok, that explains that.

Being married – Minus 8 points

So I venture my own way trying to meet people (no one here looks approachable). Eventually the hurricane comes back my way to draw me back into the group. Where is the group going you ask? Outside to smoke.

Being a smoker – Minus 10 points

So everyone is outside flapping their food dumpsters and someone mentions babysitting and then hurricane chimes in with that soft eloquent voice of hers.. “You wouldn’t want me babysitting I’m a Republican”

Being a Republican – Minus 5 points

So my friend asks “What does that have to do with anything?” The conversation continues back and forth and I interjected something along the lines of “Republican is a disease, it cannot be cured”. I know, I know.. What was I thinking, I don’t think I was. Because now I’m being verbally assaulted by both of the females at the table over partisan politics. The point one of them demands to make “So you’re the reason I’m going to have to wait for months for my MRI?” No, I’m not the reason. The reason is that there are going to be 50 million new users in our healthcare system. That’s allot of new customers... But we are America and I’m sure adjustments will be made to accommodate all these new clients. Including new MRI machines.

So on one hand I met a very beautiful girl last night. On the other hand, it would never work out…
