self restraint...

We should be able to edit/delete our own comments. sometimes in the heat of a debate we might say things in haste that are in poor taste. Give people the power to edit/delete their comments and not just the articles themselves.

Can't Be Done...

That easily that is.. I would have to re-write the program that allows you to post comments to begin with... It's not a feature that can be turned on and off.. I would have to give everyone administrative clearance. Then everyone could edit every comment. That wouldn't be a good thing.

I voiced the same opinion a while back, having clicked "Add Comment" without completely proof reading everything I had wrote and then seeing all the typos later. Other sites such as IMDb gives one the option of re-editing comments but I think I prefer it this way instead. Once it's down, IT'S DOWN. The site does provide the option of editing articles which is enough. I like the fact you can't take back what you've written in your comments. Once you've clicked "Add Comment" it's THERE without the possibility of changes or re-edits. It basically tells the story as it is without revisions that confuse the meaning of additional responses down the road. It's all there black and white, or in this case, yellow and white.

Moral of the story, proof read before you click "Add Comment" and don't write down something you're going to regret later.

In this case i spelled it all ok, but regretted the tone of what i had said. Truth be told I suffered from message diarrhea. But I'm feeling much better now.

So here is an apology for my hasty and overzealous response, any friend of Morgan's deserves more respect than that.
