This was my way of changing a D grade average to an A in high school. My low grade point average was due more to my lack of attendance than the ability to learn. The D didn't quite jump to an A, but I did increase it to a high B. Not bad for one little film. In fact, this film was responsible for alot of good things happening for me. A large part of the student body at Tucker High saw this film and it was replayed many times to the student faculty. In fact, during the summer, it became a standard party favorite. No cinematic work of art but this film does sport an attractive cast. Well, everybody except for me that is. The only thing that needed fixing was my acting. That and the Hayley Mills-ish "parent trap" haircut I had. Today I cringe at the script. Why couldn't it have been about something that mattered?? More of a showcase to show off alot of pretty people and to capture my friendship with Hoyt Griffith. Enough time has eclipsed that I'm less critical and rather proud of this little movie. Any film with HOYT GRIFFITH in it can't be bad. He was godlike and STARLA MOUNT added the right kind of freshness that the script otherwise should have provided. It captures a moment in time long before camcorders hit the scene. It was "film", not tape and believe it or not Super 8 film stock is still being used today, but only in special circumstances. This is not a professional transfer, but it's close enough. A proper digital transfer would be nothing short of a near perfect picture and a restoration of the original.
