Religion & Faith – Non-Denominational
God loves people. Why? Because we are His creation created in His image. We look like Him just like children resemble their parents. He, who is the beginning of all things, made a conscious decision to love and to become Love. His Love is perfect because God himself is perfect. All that God created He blessed and declared that it was good. Yet all that He created was not perfect. Only He who was uncreated can be perfect. All that was created has the ability to sin. Sin is rebellion against God’s perfect leadership. How can we know what rebellion against God is? Did God just put us on a planet to figure it out for ourselves? Did He create us in His Own image so that He could come back and squash us if we didn’t figure it out. No! God is a perfect Father and a loving Creator who desires the best for His creation. He instructs us in the way that we should go. All of His instructions are just and true and are given for our benefit so that we can have friendship and intimate fellowship with our Creator. The problem is that there was rebellion. The rebellion came in the form of an archangel named Lucifer. He decided that he didn’t like the ways of God, so, he enticed other angels to join him and they rebelled against God’s perfect leadership. How foolish and prideful it was to think that he could rebel against God and prevail. Lucifer and his angels were hurled out of Heaven and were re-named Satan and Demons. From that time on Satan and his hords seek to draw those who were made in God’s image away from God for the purpose of destroying that intimate relationship that God desired to have with His creation. Satan hates God and he hates those that look like God. That’s you and me. His scheme is to entice all people to rebel against God and from the very first man until now each of us has chosen to rebel against God in our own way. But God’s love is perfect. He did not leave us or destroy us and begin again. Instead He prepared a body and in that body God became a man and came to dwell among us. He taught us about His Kingdom that is not of this World. He taught us about the plans of our enemy, Satan, and how to overcome him. He taught us how to live and how to please the Father. He taught us that just as we are body, soul and spirit. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Then He gave Himself over to His creation to be tortured and brutally murdered, because the Father had determined since before time began that the wages of sin is death. So Jesus, who is God the Son, said to God, the Father, “I will go and pay the price for their sin so that they will then be my very own special treasure that I purchased with my own blood. So you see how dearly loved you are by the Father and by the Son. Of course, God had the power to save His beloved Son. Of course, Jesus had the power to call upon tens of thousands of angels to come and protect Him. But God loved you and me so very much that He sent His only Son whom he dearly loved so that everyone who believes in him may not have the reward of Satan’s rebellion but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its savior. This is how we know what love is: Jesus gave his life for us. In the light of this great sacrifice, how should we conduct our lives? Will we live for the one who purchased our freedom with His own blood or will we live for the one who hates us and who only seeks to drag us down to the place that he has already been condemned to? I have chosen to grant to Jesus the reward of His suffering by giving Him my life just as He gave His life for me. He has proven to be a true and worthy friend. What will you choose? Who will you choose? Our Father dictated the Word of God to His prophets to write down for people so that we would know what the Father is like. Every good parent gives His children the rules and boundaries of the house. These rules and boundaries are for our good and prosperity while living in this temporary life. Everyone knows that a parent that does not set rules and boundaries is a poor parent. By choosing to live by God’s guidelines we store up rewards in Heaven, the eternal home for those who choose to accept the sacrifice of God’s Son. Will you ask God to reveal His love for you? He has said in His Word that you are always on His mind and that He loves you with an everlasting love. Will you get His Manual for Life? The Bible is a Living Word that will begin to flood you with the Light of God’s presence. Get a version that is written in today’s English. Don’t get the King James Version that was written in the language of the people who lived in the 1600’s. (suggestions: the Contemporary English Version, the Good News Bible, the Amplified Bible). Invite Jesus to come into your heart and give to you His gift of the Holy Spirit to live inside of you. God the Holy Spirit will actually come to live in your heart and will begin to teach you about God’s Kingdom especially as you read the Word of God. You become a citizen of Heaven when you invite Jesus to come and live in your heart as a Friend. Then you will be called Children of God. May God’s Spirit verify and vindicate what I have written. May His favor be upon you. (If you want to know who Jesus is read Isaiah 53. If you want to know the Father read Psalm 86 verse 15. If you want a glimpse of the Holy Spirit read Isaiah 11 verse 2.) Blessings, Tanya
